Penn Book Nook
In the summer of 2019 we officially opened the Penn Book Nook in Penn Township Park. Situated near the playground area, the Book Nook is a shed that has been outfitted with book shelves, chalk board wall, a reading bench, a mini picnic table and tons of books donated by our amazing community. Books can be taken home or read in the park. The purpose of this addition was to provide convenient access to free books, in hope that it will encourage more reading time for children and adults. The Book Nook opens in the spring and stays open into the beginning of the fall months. We close the Book Nook in the winter.
2024 Book Nook Hours - The Book Nook will re-open at the end of May 2024!
Monday – Thursday: 9 AM to 3 PM
Open select weekends in Spring & Summer – We will post weekend openings in advance on our Facebook page.
The Book Nook will be closed during inclement weather & Holidays.
The Book Nook will also close at random for cleanings.
Please note the Book Nook may close in the event of vandalism or damage –
We ask that everyone please be respectful of this neat space, so that we can continue to keep it open!
