Job Fair at Penn Township

Saturday, February 8, 2020 @ 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Join us for a job fair in the Finnen Community Room! Come meet local potential employers. No registration required. Any local business that is hiring and wishes to set up a table can contact Jennah Bessicks for information.

Spring Shred It Event - Postponed to 8/1/2020 due to Coronavirus

Saturday, May 9, 2020 @ 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

This is a free shredding event which also features medication disposal and electronic recycling. No proof of residency is required. Three (3) box/bag limit on shredding.

Senior Health & Fitness Day -  Cancelled due to Coronavirus

Wednesday, May 27, 2020 @ 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Come celebrate National Senior Health & Fitness Day at Penn Township. Stop by for a free healthy breakfast and a cup of coffee. Stay for a meet and greet with local businesses and vendors.

Outdoor Summer Movie Series

The Avon Grove Library and Penn Township are joining forces once again to bring you family movie night. Enjoy a night under the stars, bring your blankets, chairs and bug spray. Food trucks, ice cream, yard games and more will begin at 7 p.m. The movie will begin at sundown, between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Babysitter Certification Class - Cancelled due to Coronavirus 

April 10, 2020 @ 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

This program is presented by Medic 94/SCCEMS. This class is offered to students ages 11 through 17. It's a perfect one day class that offers basic first aud knowledge, babysitting business knowledge and the confidence to resolve conflicts. The class is $40, which will cover the certification cost and light snacks. Students are asked to bring a packed lunch. Class space is limited. Students must register in advance, please email [email protected] to sign up. 

Go Bald with St. Baldrick’s - Cancelled due to Coronavirus 

May 3, 2020 @ 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.

We were honored to be asked to host this year’s Go Bald for St. Baldrick’s event. This is a Chester County event run by local first responders. This event raises money for childhood cancer research. Volunteer and participants are needed for this event! Learn more about it on their Facebook page St. Baldrick’s Chester County.

CPR Saturday - Cancelled 

May 16, 2020 @ 8 a.m. • 11 a.m. • 3 p.m. 

This program is presented by Medic 94/SCCEMS. A day made up of three classes, each offering various CPR and life saving skills. Choose whichever class suits your needs best. You must register in advance for these classes. Email [email protected] to sign up. 

Citizen Responder Class - FREE: A free class for the everyday citizen that focuses on preparing you for emergency situations; CPR, stop the bleed, allergic reactions, strokes, heart attacks, diabetic emergencies, etc. This is not a certification class. Class Time: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

ASHI Healthcare CPR/AED Recertification - $40: This is a recertification class for those who just need to re-new their CPR certification. Class Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

ASHI Healthcare CPR/AED Certification - $75: This is the full certification class for those wanting to be CPR certified. Class Time: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Jr. Medic Camp - NEW! - Cancelled due to Coronavirus

June 6, 2020 and June 13, 2020 @ 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

This program is presented by Medic 94/SCCEMS. We are very excited to offer this brand new program this year. Jr. Medic Camp is a bigger, more advanced version of Mini Medic Camp. This is two day program is for students ages 10 to 16. Students will walk away at the end of the program with their babysitter certification, CPR certification and first aid certification. Apart from the three certifications they'll earn, students will have fun learning and preparing for various types of emergency situations. There is a registration fee of $120, which covers all certification fees, snacks and a camp souvenir. Class space is very limited. Students must register in advance, please email [email protected] to sign up.

Stop the Bleed Class - Cancelled due to Coronavirus

June 23, 2020 @ 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

This program is presented by Medic 94/SCCEMS. Become an informed citizen and learn how to stop life threating bleeding. Injuries can happen anywhere at anytime, but YOU can learn how to stop the bleeding while you wait for emergency services. This is a free class. No registration is required. 

Mini Medic Camp - Cancelled due to Coronavirus

July 16, 2020 @ 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Medic 94 will host their Mini Medic Camp at Penn Township again this year. This camp is a life saver…literally! Medic 94 teaches children CPR basics, first aid, stop the bleed and more! Keep an eye out for more details. 

Sunny Day Camp - Cancelled due to Coronavirus

The Pennsylvania State Police will host their annual day camp for children and adults with special needs in Penn Township Park again this year.
