Recycling in Penn Township

The Township has a 24/7 recycling center located by the Dansko building on Federal Way. There are labeled bins that you can sort your recycling into. Some of the accepted recycled items are:

  • Aluminum
  • Paper
  • Plastic
  • Styrofoam
  • Metal
  • Packaging Peanuts, etc.

Any items that you are unsure what to do with, call the Southeastern Chester County Refuse Authority (SECCRA). Some items that they accept are:

  • Appliances
  • Car batteries
  • Clothing
  • Brush
  • Select Electronics
  • Dried Latex Paint

 

**Some items many have fees associated with them.**

Best to call and ask before you arrive.

Electronics – In January 2013, certain types electronics were banned from landfills. Some of the banned items include: laptops, desktops, monitors, televisions, etc. These items must be taken to an appropriate recycling center. SECCRA will take these items for a fee.
